Sheep Sorrel – Organic

A common weed throughout the U.S.A. A rich source of oxalic acid, sodium, potassium, iron, manganese, potassium, bioflavonoids and vitamin C. Historically used for prevention of contagious disease i.e. plague, cholera, and malaria. To treat mouth and throat ulcers, intestinal worms, as well as help with tissue regeneration. Used in many dishes i.e. soups, stews, salads, used to curdle milk for making cheese. Listed in the 1868 Canadian Pharmacy Journal as a medicinal plant and used as part of cancer treatment.

Now used to help with diarrhea, constipation, kidney problems, liver damage, nerve repair (due to the high silica levels), great for the hair, skin and nails, as well as the cardiovascular system. Sheep sorrel has been shown to stimulate cellular regeneration, as well as detoxify and cleanse the body. Chlorophyll within sheep sorrel helps increase our oxygen levels throughout the bloodstream. This is significant because cancer cells cannot live in the presence of oxygen. Chlorophyll helps our bodies cope with chemotherapy and radiation treatments, reducing damage of burns and increase resistance to x-rays.
