FAQ


What are the shipping costs (NZ and Overseas)?


Shipping within NZ is between $4.00 and $8.50. Orders over $79 are FREIGHT FREE within NZ (Bear in mind that freight is added to your cart until your products total is over $79 e.g. $76 worth of products will still add $8.50 freight with a total of $94.50). Overseas customers please disregard shipping shown in cart. You will need to continue through checkout and choose the Internet Banking option. A new shipping amount together with your order total will be emailed to you with paypal button for payment.

To see shipping cost - just add the products to cart and then check by clicking the dark grey bay at the top of the page. Shipping is shown - the Total includes shipping.

Please Note: If you send us the wrong address information and your package is lost we will endeavour to sort it out but ultimately we cannot replace or refund under these circumstances.

ALSO NOTE OUR COURIER DOES NOT DELIVER TO POST OFFICE BOXES.



Shipping Time


Their stated delivery time is 1-3 working days but depending on time of year and remoteness this can be longer. If you need something urgently please contact us first before placing your order. At Xmas time please allow a couple of extra days for delivery. Please don’t depend on delivery between Xmas day and New Years day. We need a break too.

Shipping Times are: Monday - Friday 8:30am. Any orders received after this time are sent out the following Monday 8:30am

Can't Find Your Shopping Cart or Checkout


After you add an item to your cart you go to the top of the page and click on the dark gray bar. This will drop down revealing the items you selected. If there are no items in your cart then the bar will stay closed.
If their is no bar at the top of these pages then your javascript is probably disabled.

Our site is best viewed with Google Chrome, Safari or Firefox browsers. Internet Explorer 7 and above is also OK but not as many features. If you are having trouble with our site please try varying your browser.

Don't hesitate in sending us an email from our CONTACTUS page asking about our products or a specific health question. Perhaps you are not comfortable going through our normal ordering process, tell us what you want and we"ll work out the best way to get it to you. We try to answer enquiries on the day they are received.

Did your Email Enquiry Get Through?


We reply to all our emails within a few hours. Please ensure you have entered your email correctly as we cannot contact you otherwise. If you have not heard from us then this is probably the case. Please resend your enquiry or contact us on our FaceBook Page https://www.facebook.com/Naturalus. Occasionally our email may be blocked by you or your server's spam filter.

All amounts are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and includes GST.

Which payment methods are accepted?


Naturalus accepts Visa and MasterCard through PayPal.
We also accept payment through direct bank transfers to our bank account.

What is PayPal?


PayPal, the trusted leader in online payments, enables buyers and businesses to send and receive money online. PayPal has over 100 million member accounts in 190 countries and regions. It's accepted by merchants everywhere.

How do I pay via PayPal?


During checkout in your shopping cart (accessed at the top of the page), choose PayPal as the payment option. Once you click Continue, you will be transferred to PayPal to enter the details of your payment. For your security, your account number and other financial information will remain securely with PayPal and not be communicated to us.

Is PayPal safe to use?


Your credit card number is never exposed to the merchant (in this case us). You have 100% protection against any unauthorized payments sent from your account. Every purchase is confirmed with an email receipt.

Why use PayPal?


No PayPal account is required, there is no need to sign-up but you can if you want. Pay with your credit card, debit card, or bank account. Your choice.

What happens with the Internet Banking option?


Fill in the form (Company and PO Box are optional). You will receive a confirmation of your order through email then soon after another email with shipping included. NZ customers will be given our Bank Account number to pay into. Overseas customers will have a PayPal button on their email.

International


Customers are responsible for any customs or taxes imposed on foreign orders. Please check in particular with regard to our herbal teas. See INERNATIONAL page.

Your Privacy


We only collect basic information on the INTERNET BANKING option which is never shared with anyone. Obviously your address is needed for delivery and your email is required so we can send a copy of your order and our bank account number. We may at times send you an email notifying you of a sale or some health information but only if you have subscribed to our Newsletter. At the bottom of these emails in an unsubscribe link which you can click and we will personally remove you from our mailing list.

Herbal Tea Contraindications


Astragalus
May reduce the effectiveness of cyclophosphamide (an immunosuppressive agent).
Not advisable to take in acute (short term) infections.


Bilberry
Caution with very high doses of warfarin or antiplatelet drugs.


Chaparral
Advised not to be taken if known liver damage/conditions.


Chaste Tree
May interact antagonistically with dopamine receptor antagonists. Best not taken in conjunction with progesterone drugs, the contraceptive pill or hormone replacement therapy. May aggravate pure spasmodic dysmenorrhoea not associated with premenstrual syndrome.


Devils Claw
May potentiate the effect of warfarin. Do not prescribe with powerful analgesics. Not advisable to take if suffer from the following: gastric or duodenal ulcers, oesophageal reflux, neurological disease, depression, psychosis, liver and kidney disease, history of allergic or anaphylactic reactions.


Dong quai
May potentiate the effects of warfarin.


Echinacea
Possible interaction with immunosuppressant medication.


Fenugreek
May inhibit iron absorption. May not be appropriate to use in health conditions such as coeliac disease, upper digestive irritations, cholestasis, low thyroid activity.


Ginger
Possible interaction at high doses with warfarin and other anticoagulants. High doses not advised to be taken in cases of peptic ulceration, gallstones.


Ginkgo
Caution advised if taking anticoagulant or antiplatelet medication. May potentiate the efficacy of haloperidol and decrease the efficacy of sodium valproate.


Gotu kola
Caution advised in those with coeliac disease, some upper digestive irritations & cases of cholestasis.


Gymnema
Caution advised if on hypoglycaemic drugs & insulin or if have the following health conditions: coeliac disease, some upper digestive irritations & cases of cholestasis.


Hawthorn
Caution if taking digitalis glycosides, beta-blockers and other hypotensive drugs.


Hops
Not advised to be taken if suffering from depression, insomnia marked by increasing restlessness during the early hours of the morning.


Licorice
Do not take with digoxin and with diuretics, laxatives, and other potassium-depleting drugs. Caution for those with cardiac, renal or hepatic disease.


Lime Flower
May reduce iron absorption if taken simultaneously with meals or iron supplements. Take 2-3 hours after a meal to resolve this issue.


Pau d’Arco
Not advised to be taken with anticoagulant drugs.


Peppermint
May reduce iron absorption if taken simultaneously with meals or iron supplements. Take 2-3 hours after a meal to resolve this issue.


Raspberry Leaf
Take separately frm oral thiamine, metal ion supplements, or alkaloid-containing medications.


Rosemary

May reduce iron absorption if taken simultaneously with meals or iron supplements. Take 2-3 hours after a meal to resolve this issue.


Saw Palmetto
Caution with concurrent use of warfarin.


Schisandra
Due to its effects on phase I/II hepatic metabolism, it’s advisable to take 2-3 hours away from any pharmaceutical medications.


Shatavari
Caution advised in those with coeliac disease, some upper digestive irritations & cases of cholestasis.


St John’s Wort
Contraindicated with cyclosporin, digoxin, HIV nonnucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors and other protease inhibitors, irinotecan, and anticoagulant drugs. Caution is advised with photosensitising agents and selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors and other serotonergic agents, low-dose oral contraceptive pill, fexofenadine, midazolam, theophylline, simvastatin and phenytoin.


Valerian
Not advised to be taken if suffering from depression, insomnia marked by increasing restlessness during the early hours of the morning.


White Willow Bark
May mildly potentiate the effects of anticoagulants. Take separately from oral thiamine, metal ion supplements, or alkaloid-containing medications. Do not take concomitantly with powerful analgesics.

Tea: No. of cups


Since we price our teas based on weight the number of cups per bag will vary (leaves being lighter than roots, flowers sometimes lighter still) . We have put these amounts beside most teas.

The average number of cups per bag of herbal tea (30gms) is 44. That means an average of 21 cents per cup.

Soap Size


Unless otherwise stated bars weigh approximately 130gms and they have dimensions of 70x70x25 mm
